Ticket #1001002 Move the Menu to be a Portlet

Description

From the Vancouver 2012 conference the following improvements for the portlets were suggested:

1. Make the expandable left menu into a container that can hold portlets

2. Make the portlets configurable by User, with default from role, with default from Tenant

3. Open the portlets so that they don't render when they are collapsed. Provide configuration to show the dashboard with them collapsed

4. Move the menu search up into header

5. Make menu icons for 'new doc' feature, the usual links will keep opening the window

6. Make 'add portlet' feature available

7. Make portlets with embedded reports

Hi Elaine, found an issue with the new icon in front of windows - seems like is not setting properly the IsSOTrx context variable based on the option.

Test case:
http://demo.idempiere.com/webui/

  • push the new icon in front of favourite "Sales Order" (or push also the new icon in the menu option for "Sales Order"(

  • the Sales Order window is open

  • the list of document types shows "Purchase Order" and it's not showing the sales order types
