Hi , reviewing this I noticed the migration script has non-official IDs.

But I think is not a good case for core - there are other windows where is good to be able to use a different price list version, and there can be use cases for that.

This can be used for customizations.

In some cases I use a version from a different price list just to get the product, is that still possible after the patch?

you can, just empty price list version

Also, this would mean the Info Product window will work different if the price list field is in a tab different than the first.

i not yet see this case but it can be on customize. normal i just see product info on sales order, purchase order,...
in that case product work like before.

because activating the master back cannot activate all children again as it could overwrite specific wished inactive children.

we can depend on updated time of record. for more sure can find out from change log

I'm not sure this is a good solution.

Also, the solution is different to the subject mentioned on the ticket "price list version on product info show ever PLV from inactive price list".
Filter inactive price lists can be done without looking for the price list field.

Now, the issue is more generic than just price list, I think is common case in many children tables, most of the validations don't look for parent active flag, and the usual recommendation is to inactivate also the childrens when inactivating a master record - this is not done by default because activating the master back cannot activate all children again as it could overwrite specific wished inactive children.
