As a usability research from Integratio was discovered that fields defined as "Field only" are still showing the label as a title in the grid.
In a design meeting at Krefeld the following improvement was defined:
Hide field header when is field only
Keep it in customize grid

@Carlos Ruiz attached you can find the patch that fixes the problem. The header is no longer shown in the grid view and you can still see the name of the field in the customize window.
