1. sales order doctype standard order 2. doctype has 2 number series A.temporary B. definitive 3. create new document complete it 4. re-activate document >> S/O going to In progress status 5. complete S/O again >> IDempiere generate a new document sequence (current next) <<BUG

you know adempiere is so outdated
That bug was raised and fix proposed by in august-2011

Hi, . you have right i not test in idempiere yet. was sure it is same like in adempiere. that doesn't worked in adempiere well. ()

I cannot reproduce the issue, that is controlled, you cannot change the document type and the document number is preserved when completing it again.
Please feel free to reopen this with steps to reproduce.
