I think it is an unknown feature, which helps to manage big lists.

Idea of the ticket is to add "something" on the field to alert users that the list is filtered - so they can choose others hidden records via a right click (ATM The label is between > and <, which is not really visible and clear).

So I think it deserves the potential-idea tag.
